Robert Abbasi is a seasoned real estate executive with nearly 40 years of experience spanning investment, development, bridge lending, and asset management. As the founder of RTI Properties, Inc. in 1986, he built the company into one of the nation’s leading real estate firms, with divisions covering a wide range of asset classes and services. His expansion into RTI Bridge Loans was a pivotal move, cementing his reputation as a leader in bridge lending.
Robert’s expertise in structuring fast, effective financial solutions has made him a key figure in the Los Angeles bridge loan market. Over his career, he has facilitated real estate transactions worth billions, helping investors navigate critical transitions and execute high-impact deals. His deep industry knowledge also led him to co-found a federally chartered bank, where he served as a Board Director and Loan Committee member.
In addition to his work in real estate, Robert was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Century Housing, a leading affordable housing organization with an AA rating on Wall Street. His involvement reflects his commitment to responsible development and financial stewardship in the housing sector.
A trusted advisor to investors, brokers, institutions, and lenders, Robert frequently shares his insights as a speaker and panelist within the investment community. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California, where he graduated with honors, and a B.A. in Economics from USC, earning Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude distinctions.
Tom Gans is the Director of Business Development RTI Properties Bridge Loan division. He is responsible for generating new business through his network of domestic business contacts. Mr. Gans was born and raised in New York, NY where he graduated the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Degree of Arts & Sciences.
Mr. Gans has 30 years of experience in the Real Estate Finance Business and an extensive background in Sales Management and Marketing. Tom began his career in financial services working for a major wire house on the floor of the NY Commodities Exchange. After moving to California in 1988, he has worked for both residential and commercial firms in business development leading to more than 2,200 closed transactions. Tom’s work ethic, communication skills and experience heighten RTI’s industry leading reputation for certainty of execution.
Tiara Palazuelos is Senior Coordinator of the Business Development & Marketing Division for RTI Properties, Inc. with broad experience in Bridge Loan Financing. Her primary role is to ensure that frontline operations are conducted quickly and efficiently. She is committed alongside her colleagues to provide excellent service and a true RTI experience to investors, borrowers, and other real estate professionals.
Tiara’s career in Commercial Real Estate embarked at RTI Properties, Inc. as a young adult where she began in the company’s property management division. She maintained incredible energy and focus, continuously assisting with projects beyond her normal scope of responsibilities with the goal of understanding and improving processes. She shadowed seasoned individuals at the firm and absorbed their in-depth knowledge. Her passion for problem solving, growth and the guidance from remarkable mentors have driven her to thrive in her career. She is eager to continue applying and developing the skills she has earned over the years to ensure that RTI’s clients’ bridge financing and investment needs are well met.
Genevieve Zar is a dedicated Loan Coordinator at RTI Properties, bringing fresh energy and a strong academic background as a recent graduate of UCLA. Her journey with the company began as an intern, where she quickly showcased her exceptional skills and commitment, leading to her rapid advancement to a full-time role. Genevieve’s early exposure to the real estate industry, gained through her father’s work as a seasoned developer and general contractor, has equipped her with a unique perspective that enriches the RTI team.
In her role as Loan Coordinator, Genevieve is passionate about delivering outstanding service to clients while collaborating with her talented colleagues. She is committed to continuous professional growth and is eager to leverage her insights and skills to enhance the company’s loan coordination efforts. With her dedication and innovative spirit, Genevieve is poised to make a significant impact at RTI Properties.
Anil Patel is Senior Director of Capital Markets at RTI Bridge Loans. He is a seasoned real estate executive with over two decades of experience in hospitality ownership, operations, and investment. Throughout his career, Anil has raised hundreds of millions of dollars in debt and equity for projects spanning hospitality, multifamily, and commercial real estate. He has owned, managed, or advised on assets across more than 20 U.S. states, totaling over 10,000 units and $1.2 billion in value. His leadership includes executive roles at firms such as CRU Real Estate Group, Silver Creek Hospitality, and Mabry Management.
In addition to his real estate background, Anil brings PropTech and startup consulting experience through his ongoing role as EVP at Zonetail and his involvement with Invenchure Alliance and Fidelity Equity Partners. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA). Anil holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, as well as a BA in Economics/Business and a BS in Computer Science & Engineering from UCLA.
