RTI Properties, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Robert Abbasi. His professional experience began in 1983 as an Investment Consultant for a large real estate firm focusing on apartment buildings and commercial properties. Robert has an excellent reputation within the real estate investment and management industry for his integrity, knowledge, and following through. He has served on the Board of Directors for a Los Angeles business bank and other organizations. He has also served as a confidant and advisor to many in the industry including institutions, investors, brokers, property managers, and lenders. He is a well-known speaker and panelist in the investment community, sharing his investment techniques and management style with both novice and expert property investors alike.
Robert earned an MBA from the University of Southern California where he graduated with honors. He also holds a B.A. Degree in Economics from USC. He was chosen for the Phi Beta Kappa National Honors Society and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Jason Conroy is a 25-year real estate finance and operations veteran. He leads the Operations and Accounting departments at RTI responsible for leasing, tenant retention, client relations, budgeting & planning, financial controls, cash management, and reporting. Prior to joining RTI in 2013, Mr. Conroy spent 10 years as the Director of Finance at Castle & Cooke, Inc. where he oversaw the budgeting and planning for the development of over 3,200 acres of raw land, 980 finished lots and the construction of over 2,200 new homes. Mr. Conroy was an Associate with American Mall Properties, LLC, and was the Controller for the Weintraub Real Estate Group. Mr. Conroy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Real Estate and Law from California State University, Long Beach, is a US Navy veteran, and is a current member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
Steve has been with RTI for over 20 years and is the Director of RTI’s Retail and Commercial Division. He also oversees special projects at the company. His expertise in real estate and property management extends over 30 years. Steve has a vast knowledge of property management, maintenance, and construction management, having worked on well over 130 major renovation/construction projects spanning his career.
Prior to working at RTI, Steve was a Senior Property Supervisor for a major property management firm in Los Angeles County. He also has owned several small businesses. Steve has a formal education in accounting, business administration, and has been certified in a number of industry related courses. Steve is a member of several real estate organizations including The California Bureau of Real Estate. He holds a California real estate license.
Desiree has over 20 years in sales and customer service experience. Her primary role is to acquire new business while continuing to provide exceptional service to existing clients. Her professional experience includes working for Motorola Inc., for a number of years. She has also held management roles for prestigious hospitals such as St. Johns Health Center, Torrance Memorial Hospital, Kaiser Permanente and many others, locally and out of state.
Laurie oversees the Human Resource , Payroll and Training functions for RTI. Prior to joining RTI, Laurie provided services to a publicly traded company on the NYSE with over 100,000 employees nationwide. She has more than 20 years of experience managing all aspects of Human Resources including workers’ compensation, claims management, wage/hour issues and benefits. Laurie’s services and knowledge provide an unprecedented layer of protection for all of our clients.
